Cetus Corporation

Cetus Corporation was an American biotechnology company based in Emeryville, California. It is described as the first biotechnology company.[1]

Kary Mullis pioneered the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) while working at Cetus.[2]

History

Cetus was founded in 1971 by Donald Glaser, Moshe Alafi, Ron Cape, and Peter Farley.
