Picture Genetics is an American biotechnology company based in Los Angeles, California.[1] It offers services in genetic testing and genetic counselling, and markets an at-home test for SARS-CoV-2.[2]
Picture is a subsidiary of Fulgent Genetics.[3]
History
Picture was launched in September 2019 by Fulgent Genetics as a new “at-home” testing service in partnership with PWNHealth.[4]
COVID-19
The company experienced “significant growth” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]
The State of Missouri contracted Picture for their COVID-19 testing services, leading to concerns that samples would be tested for other genetic information than just SARS-CoV-2.[6]
