Operation VECTOR is a Canadian COVID-19 vaccine rollout program run by the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Its goal is to assist federal, provincial and territorial governments, including Indigenous Services Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and Public Safety Canada, in the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.[1][2]
History
Operation VECTOR was announced on November 27, 2020. Major-General Dany Fortin was seconded to PHAC to serve as vice president of logistics and operations, joined on his team by Brigadiers-General Simon Bernard and Krista Brodie.[2:1]
Between December 12 and 15, 2020, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) delivered five medical-grade low-temperature freezers to two northern territories via a CC-130J Hercules aircraft.[1:1]
CAF members provided support to a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Laval Sports Centre in Laval, Quebec in January 2022.[3]

A team from CAF was assigned to work with PHAC on its Vaccine Roll-out Task Force.[1:2]
