The Louisiana Department of Health, formerly the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, is an American state government department within the Government of Louisiana.

History

On February 13, 2025, Surgeon General Ralph L. Abraham and Deputy Surgeon General Wyche T. Coleman, III announced the department would formally end promotion of mass vaccination, in favour of individualized recommendations based on personal choice and consultation with a doctor.[1]
