Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG) is a Canadian law firm with offices in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.

History

On June 13, 2023, BLG partner Patrick Heinsen sent Dr. Daniel Nagase a letter on behalf of Alberta Health Services (AHS) demanding he remove his Substack articles titled "A deadly day in the ER: My thoughts on a patient’s deadly ER visit" and "The Difference Between Negligence and Homicide: a process in thought".[1] AHS legal counsel Sarah Louw was also copied on the e-mail.[2]

BLG is a member organization of the Canadian College of Health Leaders[3] and the C.D. Howe Institute,[4] and a partner of BioTalent Canada.[5]
