America First Policy Institute

The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) is an American 501(c)(3) nonprofit think tank based in Arlington, Virginia.

History

An entity called "America First, Inc." was incorporated in the State of Texas on November 20, 2020.[1] Angel funding for the organization came from Trish Duggan.[2]

On December 22nd, 2020, Politico reported that Brooke Rollins and Larry Kudlow were preparing to launch a then-unnamed nonprofit organization to "promote the 'legacy and consequences'" of Donald Trump's presidency.[3] The same day, "America First, Inc." changed its operating name to "America First Policy Institute".[1:1]

AFPI launched on April 13, 2021 with a first-year budget of $20 million. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were reported to be informal advisors for the group.[4]
