Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is an American federal government agency based in Rockville, Maryland. It is one of twelve agencies within the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

History

AHRQ was an exhibitor at the 10th Annual G-I-N Conference in 2013.[1]

COVID-19

During the declared COVID-19 pandemic, AHRQ served as a partner of the COVID-19 Evidence Network to Support Decision-making (COVID-END).[2] AHRQ funded research on the use of remdesivir for children with COVID-19 alongside Gilead Sciences and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).[3]

Organization

AHRQ has been a partner of the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control at the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.[4] It is also an organizational member of AcademyHealth[5] and the International Network of Agencies for Health Technology Assessment,[6] and is associated with the GRADE Working Group.[7]
