# World Bank

The **World Bank** is an international financial institution based in Washington, D.C. It is part of the [United Nations](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/United-Nations) system through the [World Bank Group](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/World-Bank-Group).

## History

In November 2012, the World Bank co-sponsored the [Second Global Symposium on Health Systems Research](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Second-Global-Symposium-on-Health-Systems-Research) in Beijing, China.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## Organization

The World Bank is a member organization of the [Trust Over IP Foundation](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Trust-Over-IP-Foundation).[\[2\]](#fn2)
