# Tyson Foods

**Tyson Foods** is an American multinational food processing company based in Springdale, Arkansas.

## History

In August 2021, Tyson announced that all employees were required to be "fully vaccinated" with [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine) by November. The company offered employees a $200 incentive to get vaccinated.[\[1\]](#fn1)

[Robert Barnes](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Robert-Barnes) brought a lawsuit against Tyson on behalf of employees put on unpaid leave due to the mandate.[\[2\]](#fn2)

The mandate was suspended on October 31, 2022.[\[1:1\]](#fn1)

## Organization

Tyson's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Donnie King, represents the company as a member of the Business Roundtable.[\[3\]](#fn3)

Tyson is a partner organization of Feeding America,[\[4\]](#fn4) Plug and Play,[\[5\]](#fn5) Share Our Strength,[\[6\]](#fn6) and the [World Economic Forum](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/World-Economic-Forum) (WEF).[\[7\]](#fn7) The company has provided funding to the [World Resources Institute](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/World-Resources-Institute) (WRI).[\[8\]](#fn8)

Tyson makes political donations through the Tyson Foods Political Action Committee (TYPAC).[\[9\]](#fn9)
