# Rule of Law Foundation

The **Rule of Law Foundation** is an American non-profit organization based in New York City.

## History

The foundation was founded in late 2018 by [Guo Wengui](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Guo-Wengui) and [Steve Bannon](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Steve-Bannon).[\[1\]](#fn1) The official launch event took place on November 20, 2018.

On June 4, 2020, Guo and Bannon launched a political lobbying group called the [New Federal State of China](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/New-Federal-State-of-China) supported by the Rule of Law Foundation and the Rule of Law Society.[\[2\]](#fn2)
