# Regional Municipality of York

The **Regional Municipality of York**, also called **York Region**, is a municipal government body in the Canadian province of Ontario.

## History

Following [Health Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Health-Canada)'s approval of [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine) for children aged 6 months to 11 years old, York Region participated in an advertising campaign called "Max the Vax" alongside [19 to Zero](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/19-to-Zero), the [Canadian Medical Association](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Canadian-Medical-Association) (CMA) and the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies.[\[1\]](#fn1)
