# Ray Stevenson

**Ray Stevenson** was a Northern Irish actor. He [died suddenly](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Sudden-adult-death-syndrome) on May 21, 2023, four days before his 59th birthday.

## History

On May 20, 2023, Stevenson reportedly suffered a "sudden illness" while he was on set filming *Cassino in Ischia.*[\[1\]](#fn1) He was "taken to a nearby hospital on Saturday afternoon," where he died suddenly the following day.[\[2\]](#fn2) Stevenson's publicist, Viewpoint PR, confirmed his passing but did not disclose any information around cause of death.[\[3\]](#fn3)

On July 1, 2023, attorney Jeff Childers noted the absence of information provided around Stevenson's death.[\[4\]](#fn4)
