# Public Health Scotland

**Public Health Scotland** is the national public health agency for Scotland.

## History

On February 17, 2022, PHS announced it would no longer be reporting data on COVID-19 cases by vaccination status due to “the data being misused deliberately by anti-vaccination campaigners.”[\[1\]](#fn1) Alex Berenson criticized the move, stating “Scotland WAS one of the most transparent” countries regarding [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine).[\[2\]](#fn2)
