# Protect Ohio Values

**Protect Ohio Values (POV PAC)** was an American super political action committee (PAC) based in Alexandria, Virginia. Its purpose was to elect JD Vance to the United States Senate to represent the State of Ohio.[\[1\]](#fn1)
## History
POV was registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on February 24, 2021.[\[2\]](#fn2)
On June 6, 2022, the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed an FEC complaint alleging that POV made illegal in-kind contributions to JD Vance's senatorial campaign "in the form of polling data, voter targeting information and draft campaign communications."[\[3\]](#fn3)

### Funding
POV raised just shy of $19.8 million between February 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022\. The largest individual contributor was Peter Thiel, who gave a total of $15 million.[\[6\]](#fn6) Between January 1, 2023 and June 27, 2024, POV raised an additional $31,000.[\[7\]](#fn7)
