# Predictive Biotech

**Predictive Biotech**, previously **ReNovo Biotech**, is an American biotechnology company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of [Predictive Technology Group](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Predictive-Technology-Group).

## History

The company was originally founded as ReNovo Biotech. On March 2, 2016, Predictive Technology Group announced it would acquire ReNovo through its [Predictive Therapeutics](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Predictive-Therapeutics) subsidiary.[\[1\]](#fn1)

After completing the acquisition in April 2016, Predictive Technology Group established Predictive Biotech as the successor.[\[2\]](#fn2)

### COVID-19

On August 17, 2020, Predictive Biotech received a letter from Mary Malarkey, Compliance Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the [Food and Drug Administration](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Food-and-Drug-Administration) (FDA), warning against the company's plans to promote their CoreCyte product as a preventative or treatment for COVID-19.[\[3\]](#fn3)
