**Picture Genetics** is an American biotechnology company based in Los Angeles, California.[\[1\]](#fn1) It offers services in genetic testing and genetic counselling, and markets an at-home test for SARS-CoV-2.[\[2\]](#fn2)

Picture is a subsidiary of [Fulgent Genetics](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Fulgent-Genetics).[\[3\]](#fn3)

## History

Picture was launched in September 2019 by Fulgent Genetics as a new “at-home” testing service in partnership with PWNHealth.[\[4\]](#fn4)

### COVID-19

The company experienced “significant growth” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.[\[5\]](#fn5)

The State of Missouri contracted Picture for their COVID-19 testing services, leading to concerns that samples would be tested for other genetic information than just SARS-CoV-2.[\[6\]](#fn6)
