**Oragenics, Inc.** is an American biotechnology company based in Tampa, Florida.

## History

In May 2020, Oragenics acquired Noachis Terra to “develop and commercialize TerraCoV2, a vaccine candidate which could provide specific immunity from the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).[\[1\]](#fn1)

Oragenics is developing an intranasal [COVID-19 vaccine](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine) product with BioDextris.[\[2\]](#fn2)

In December 2021, the company extended its licensing and collaboration agreement with the [National Research Council Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/National-Research-Council-Canada) that “will enable Oragenics to pursue an intranasal vaccine designed to protect against the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant.”[\[3\]](#fn3)
