The **Office of the Attorney General of Texas** is an agency of the Government of Texas led by Attorney General Ken Paxton. It is based in Austin, Texas.

## History

On November 30, 2023, AG Paxton announced that he had filed a [lawsuit](https://web.archive.org/web/20231202192213/https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/sites/default/files/images/press/Pfizer%20Vaccine%20Petition%20Filed.pdf) against [Pfizer](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Pfizer) for "unlawfully misrepresenting the effectiveness of the [company’s COVID-19 vaccine](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Pfizer-BioNTech-COVID-19-vaccine) and attempting to censor public discussion of the product."[\[1\]](#fn1)
