It is affiliated with the [Natural Resources Defense Council](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Natural-Resources-Defense-Council) (NRDC), overseen by its Center for Campaigns & Organizing (CC&O).[\[1\]](#fn1) ## History On August 7, 2013, the NRDC Action Fund registered the [NRDC Action Fund PAC](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/NRDC-Action-Fund-PAC) with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).[\[2\]](#fn2) The PAC was formally launched in 2014.[\[3\]](#fn3) On April 14, 2014, the NRDC Action Fund launched LeadingGreen, a collaboration with the League of Conservation Voters to "steer donations to federal candidates and enlist the help of major donors in lobbying elected officials."[\[4\]](#fn4) It also set a goal to raise $5 million for LCV Action Fund's GiveGreen program with support from the NRDC Action Fund PAC.[\[5\]](#fn5) ### 2020 presidential election In 2020, the NRDC Action Fund launched [NRDC Action Votes](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/NRDC-Action-Votes), a super PAC "that produces and promotes paid content to targeted voters in support of pro-environment candidates."[\[3:1\]](#fn3) ### 2024 presidential election On April 19, 2024, the NRDC Action Fund published an open letter calling on [Robert F.
