# North Carolina Fact-Checking Project

The **North Carolina Fact-Checking Project** is a project of the [Duke Reporters' Lab](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Duke-Reporters-Lab), created to provide "non-partisan fact-check articles for publications and broadcast programs statewide" during the 2018 state elections and 2019 state legislative session.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## Partners

Partners of the project included the Duke Reporters' Lab, the Reese News Lab at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, [PolitiFact](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/PolitiFact) and McClatchy.[\[1:1\]](#fn1)[\[2\]](#fn2) It was funded by the [International Center for Journalists](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/International-Center-for-Journalists) (ICFJ) and the North Carolina Local News Lab Fund.[\[2:1\]](#fn2)
