**North Alabama Research Center** is an American clinical research organization based in Athens, Alabama. It is part of the New Horizon Research Group.

The clinic has a longstanding relationship with several pharmaceutical companies, including [Pfizer](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Pfizer).[\[1\]](#fn1)

## COVID-19

NARC was a trial site for the [Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Pfizer-BioNTech-COVID-19-vaccine) clinical trial along with its sister site, [Medical Affiliated Research Center](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Medical-Affiliated-Research-Center).[\[2\]](#fn2) The sites were overseen by Tonya Pryor, research director for both facilities, with the NARC site led by investigator Ernest Hendrix.[\[1:1\]](#fn1)[\[3\]](#fn3) The sites sought "around 300 volunteers" to participate.[\[4\]](#fn4)
