**NLK Strategies Inc.** is a Canadian communications consulting firm based in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

## History

Nicola Lambrechts founded NLK Strategies in 2018.[\[1\]](#fn1)

### COVID-19

Lambrechts and NLK Strategies worked "behind the scenes as the COVID-19 pandemic became headline news."[\[1:1\]](#fn1) NLK was initially hired by the [British Columbia Ministry of Health](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/British-Columbia-Ministry-of-Health) in February 2020 on a $8,000 no-bid contract to assist provincial health officer Dr. [Bonnie Henry](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Bonnie-Henry) with media relations, issues management, strategy, writing and messaging related to the declared COVID-19 pandemic.[\[2\]](#fn2) The contract was later extended through March 2021 at a maximum of $149,900.[\[3\]](#fn3)
