He is the father of Hunter Biden, Ashley Biden and Beau Biden, and husband of Jill Biden. ## History Biden was an early member of the [Democratic Leadership Council](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Democratic-Leadership-Council) (DLC), described by founder Al From as one of the DLC’s “leaders,” and as “a natural fit with the group” by *Jacobin Magazine.*[\[1\]](#fn1) Biden participated in a roundtable discussion on June 4, 2014, titled “The Future of Workforce Development,” hosted by [Third Way](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Third-Way).[\[2\]](#fn2) Biden visited a facility run by blood testing company [Theranos](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Theranos) on July 23, 2015.[\[3\]](#fn3) The laboratory setup was entirely staged for the photo op.[\[4\]](#fn4) Biden was a special guest speaker at the [Third International Vatican Conference](Third%20International%20Vatican%20Conference.md), which took place from April 28-30, 2016.[\[5\]](#fn5) ### 2020 presidential election On October 25, 2019, Biden published a statement on [Twitter](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Twitter) warning that President Donald Trump had “rolled back progress” on strengthening global health security made by him and President Barack Obama, leaving the United States “not prepared for a pandemic.”[\[6\]](#fn6)[\[7\]](#fn7) In the lead up to the 2020 United States presidential election, the [Federal Bureau of Investigation](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Federal-Bureau-of-Investigation) (FBI) warned [Meta Platforms](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Meta-Platforms) of “a potential Russian disinformation operation” around Biden's family and [Burisma Holdings](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Burisma-Holdings).[\[8\]](#fn8) ### Presidency In 2021, the Biden administration applied pressure on Meta Platforms to censor and remove content related to the declared COVID-19 pandemic.[\[8:1\]](#fn8) In a televised address given on September 9, 2021, Biden said of “unvaccinated” Americans, “your refusal \[to get vaccinated\] has cost all of us.” Addressing the vaccinated, he went on to say “I understand your anger at those who haven't gotten vaccinated.”[\[9\]](#fn9) On July 12, 2022, a judge granted a request for discovery in a lawsuit against the Joe Biden administration and various social media companies in response to their widespread censorship of dissident voices on topics including COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 and Hunter Biden's laptop.[\[10\]](#fn10) In November 2022 and January 2023, it was reported that documents marked as “classified” were discovered in offices used by Biden following his tenure as Vice President.[\[11\]](#fn11) The first batch was discovered in a locker at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement on November 2, 2022, “days before the midterm elections.”[\[12\]](#fn12) On July 20, 2023, Republican Senator Chuck Grassley released a previously-top-secret witness form from the [Federal Bureau of Investigation](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Federal-Bureau-of-Investigation) (FBI) which described [Burisma Holdings](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Burisma-Holdings) founder Mykola Zlochevsky's $5,000,000 payments to both then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, in exchange for the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin.[\[13\]](#fn13)[\[14\]](#fn14) On September 5, 2023, Indivisible Action endorsed Joe Biden in his 2024 presidential re-election bid.[\[15\]](#fn15) ## External links - [Campfire Wiki](https://www.campfire.wiki/doku.php?id=joe%5Fbiden) - [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe%5FBiden) - [Wikispooks](https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Joe%5FBiden) --- 1.
