**Janssen Pharmaceuticals** is a pharmaceutical company based in Beerse, Belgium. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of [Johnson & Johnson](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Johnson-&-Johnson).

## History

On November 17, 2015, the Ugandan Academy for Health Innovation and Impact was inaugurated at the IDI McKinnell Knowledge Centre at Makerere University as a partnership between Johnson & Johnson, Janssen, the Ministry of Health of Uganda and the [Infectious Diseases Institute](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Infectious-Diseases-Institute) (IDI).[\[1\]](#fn1)
