# Independent Media Alliance

The **Independent Media Alliance (IMA)** is a news media initiative described as "a collaborative effort focused on promoting objective, fact-based media from a diverse team of journalists, podcasters, and writers."[\[1\]](#fn1) It was created by Ryan Cristián of The Last American Vagabond (TLAV), [Whitney Webb](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Whitney-Webb) of Unlimited Hangout, and Derrick Broze of the Conscious Resistance Network, and is partnered with [Odysee](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Odysee).[\[1:1\]](#fn1)[\[2\]](#fn2)

## History

The IMA was announced on September 16, 2024 via a press release on the TLAV website.[\[1:2\]](#fn1)
