The **Government of British Columbia** is the governing body for the Canadian province of British Columbia.

## History

The Government of British Columbia purchased airtime from the [Canadian Broadcasting Corporation](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Canadian-Broadcasting-Corporation) (CBC) in 2020-2022.[\[1\]](#fn1)

On March 2, 2022, the province announced "nearly $195 million in grant funding" to Michael Smith Health Research BC and Genome British Columbia to "support research in health, agriculture, clean technology and climate change, while also strengthening B.C.’s pandemic and emergency preparedness."[\[2\]](#fn2)

In October 2022, the Government of British Columbia published advertisements for [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine) featuring [Titus Wong](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Titus-Wong) on [Twitter](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Twitter).[\[3\]](#fn3)

On October 30, 2023, BC Public Service (BCPS) employee Jason Baldwin filed a notice of civil claim in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against the Government of British Columbia and Provincial Health Officer [Bonnie Henry](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Bonnie-Henry) under the *Class Proceedings Act* related to the province's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy.[\[4\]](#fn4) The class action suit was announced on November 29, 2023 by Angela Cardoso, vice president of [BCPS Employees for Freedom Society](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/BCPS-Employees-for-Freedom-Society).[\[5\]](#fn5)[\[6\]](#fn6)

## Organization
