# Good Ventures

The **Good Ventures Foundation**, branded simply as **Good Ventures**, is an American non-profit organization based in Palo Alto, California.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## History

Good Ventures was founded in 2011 by [Dustin Moskovitz](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Dustin-Moskovitz) and Cari Tuna.[\[2\]](#fn2) Shortly following its founding, Good Ventures partnered with the [Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Bill-&-Melinda-Gates-Foundation) and GiveWell to “work closely with other funders to support promising projects and learn how to give effectively.”[\[3\]](#fn3)
