# Global Shapers Calgary

**Global Shapers Calgary**, also known as **Calgary Hub**, **Calgary Shapers** or **YYC Shapers**, is a Canadian not-for-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta. It is a chapter of the [Global Shapers Community](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Global-Shapers-Community), an initiative of the [World Economic Forum](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/World-Economic-Forum).[\[1\]](#fn1)

The group's activities center around four pillars: Climate Action, Future Cities, Civic Life, and Healthy Cities.

## History

Beginning in April 2021, the Calgary Shapers supported [19 to Zero](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/19-to-Zero) by hosting town hall sessions on [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine).[\[2\]](#fn2)

In September 2021, the group published a report authored by Hannah Rahim and Christian Ladores discussing the mental health situation in Calgary with input from the Canadian Mental Health Association and Catholic Family Service.[\[3\]](#fn3)
