**Global Nexus**, short for **Global Nexus for Pandemics and Biological Threats**, is a Canadian public-private partnership based in Hamilton, Ontario. It is described as "a partnership-focused health innovation accelerator" based out of the McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## History

Global Nexus researchers developed an inhaled [COVID-19 vaccine](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine) currently entering Phase 2 clinical trials.[\[2\]](#fn2)

On April 23, 2024, [Pfizer](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Pfizer) announced a $500,000 investment in Global Nexus for the training of "emerging scholars from equity-deserving groups in the field of vaccinology, as well as students conducting vaccine research focused on populations who are especially vulnerable to infectious diseases."[\[2:1\]](#fn2)[\[3\]](#fn3)

Global Nexus is a partner organization leading the Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub (CP2H).[\[4\]](#fn4)
