# Future of Humanity Institute

The **Future of Humanity Institute (FHI)** was a British academic research facility located in Oxford, England. It operated as a division of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford until its closure in April 2024.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## Organization

FHI was a research centre within the University of Oxford. It was partnered with the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk, another Oxford institution.[\[2\]](#fn2)
