# Ed Sheeran

**Ed Sheeran** is an English singer-songwriter.

## COVID-19

On June 30, 2021, Sheeran performed a version of his song "Shape of You" with James Corden to promote [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine). He specifically mentions both [Pfizer](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Pfizer) and [Moderna](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Moderna), asserting that people would be protected two weeks after their second dose.[\[1\]](#fn1)

On October 24, 2021, Sheeran claimed to have tested positive for COVID-19.[\[2\]](#fn2) Sheeran told Howard Stern during a November 5, 2021 appearance on Stern's show that he was previously "vaccinated."[\[3\]](#fn3)[\[4\]](#fn4)[\[5\]](#fn5)

On March 1, 2023, Sheeran revealed that his wife Cherry Seaborn had been diagnosed with [cancer](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Cancer) while she was pregnant with their second child.[\[6\]](#fn6)

On July 8, 2023, Sheeran performed at the Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 17 people were hospitalized during the event, including two [heart attacks](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Myocardial-infarction), a [seizure](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Seizure), "some falls" and "heat-related issues."[\[7\]](#fn7)
