**Dust Identity** is an American technology company based in Newton, Massachusetts. It is a spinout of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with early funding support from the [Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Defense-Advanced-Research-Projects-Agency) (DARPA).[\[1\]](#fn1)
