# CommonHealth

**CommonHealth** is a health data management program developed by [The Commons Project](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Commons-Project). Its work includes promoting the implementation of the [SMART Health Card](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/SMART-Health-Card) protocol for vaccine passports.

## History

CommonHealth was the first project of The Commons Project, announced in September 2019.[\[1\]](#fn1) The program was to use Health Level Seven International standards for compatibility with both Apple Health and a similar app on Android devices.[\[2\]](#fn2)
