Chaired by Provincial Court Chief Justice Pamela Williams, the group was "tasked with considering the impact of the pandemic on the criminal justice system in Nova Scotia and offering a path forward."[\[1\]](#fn1) The group "convened more than 125 people from across government, police, courts, the Indigenous community and community agencies focused on the necessity to keep justice moving during the pandemic."[\[2\]](#fn2) ## History In June 2020, CJTG launched the COVID-19 Working Group.[\[1:1\]](#fn1) ## Members The group was made up of "approximately 40 members from various government departments, agencies, and community organizations that looked at issues such as court backlog, virtual proceedings, electronic filing, and digital evidence management."[\[1:2\]](#fn1) It "consisted of 4 workgroups and 8 subgroups."[\[2:1\]](#fn2) | Name | Position | Notes | | --------------- | -------------------- | ------------------------------- | | Pamela Williams | Chair[\[1:3\]](#fn1) | Provincial Court of Nova Scotia | --- 1. *Outgoing Chief Judge.* (2023, August 28).
