**Catastrophic Contagion** was a pandemic preparedness exercise hosted by the [Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Johns-Hopkins-Center-for-Health-Security) and the [Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Bill-Melinda-Gates-Foundation). It took place at the Grand Challenges Annual Meeting in Brussels, Belgium, on October 23, 2022.[\[1\]](#fn1)
