# CanCOVID

**CanCOVID** is a Canadian health research initiative formed in April 2020 by [Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Innovation-Science-and-Economic-Development-Canada) (ISED) and Chief Scientific Advisor Dr. Mona Nemer.

### Funding

CanCOVID is funded by the [Government of Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Government-of-Canada) through Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.[\[2\]](#fn2) Various CanCOVID research projects were funded by the McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity (MI4).[\[3\]](#fn3)

## Team

CanCOVID is led by Peter Jüni, Nathan Stall, Susan Law, and Karim Keshavjee.[\[4\]](#fn4) Vivek Goel is a former Network Science Advisor.
