# Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies

The **Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies (CASHRA)** is an umbrella organization for federal, provincial and territorial human rights commissions in Canada.

## History

CASHRA was founded in 1972 as an offshoot of the Canadian Association of Administrators of Labour Legislation (CAALL).[\[1\]](#fn1)

### COVID-19

On April 14, 2020, CASHRA published a list of statements, policies and documents from its member organizations related to the declared COVID-19 pandemic.[\[2\]](#fn2) Several new items were subsequently added, and the author of the post was changed.[\[3\]](#fn3)
