# Canadian Adverse Event Reporting System

The **Canadian Adverse Events Reporting System (CAERS)** was a community-run vaccine adverse event reporting system. As of October 2023, the CAERS website is no longer online.[\[1\]](#fn1)

CAERS solicited user-submitted reports of [adverse events](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Adverse-events-associated-with-COVID-19-vaccines) following injection with any of the available [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine). It was run independently of government and public health agencies.[\[2\]](#fn2)

## History

CAERS co-organized [A Citizens' Hearing](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/A-Citizens-Hearing) in Toronto, Ontario in June 2022.[\[3\]](#fn3)

## Organization

CAERS was partnered with the [Canadian Covid Care Alliance](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Canadian-Covid-Care-Alliance) (CCCA), the [World Council for Health](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/World-Council-for-Health) (WCH),[\[4\]](#fn4) and Vax Justice.[\[5\]](#fn5) It was an affiliate partner of [Zelenko Labs](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Zelenko-Labs).[\[6\]](#fn6)
