# Canada Border Services Agency

The **Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA)** is a Canadian federal law enforcement agency based in Ottawa, Ontario. It is an agency of the [Government of Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Government-of-Canada).

## COVID-19

CBSA had a pre-existing contract with [GC Strategies](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/GC-Strategies) which was repurposed to develop [ArriveCAN](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/ArriveCAN) alongside [Health Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Health-Canada) and the [Public Health Agency of Canada](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Public-Health-Agency-of-Canada) (PHAC).[\[1\]](#fn1) The ArriveCAN application launched in April 2020.[\[2\]](#fn2)
