# Brandie Walker

**Brandie Laurel Walker** is a Canadian physician and medical researcher based in Calgary, Alberta.[\[1\]](#fn1) She is the respiratory representative on the [AHS COVID-19 Scientific Advisory Group](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/AHS-COVID-19-Scientific-Advisory-Group) under [Alberta Health Services](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Alberta-Health-Services).[\[2\]](#fn2) She is a clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Calgary's Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases.[\[3\]](#fn3)

Her research focus is in the field of airways diseases with a focus on COPD and asthma.

## Career

Walker is a researcher for the Canadian Lung Association. She received the Clinician-Scientist Asthma Award, which provided her with $115,000.00 in funding from [AllerGen](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/AllerGen), the Canadian Lung Association and the Canadian Thoracic Society.[\[4\]](#fn4)

She is the Calgary site principal investigator for the Canadian Cohort Obstructive Lung Disease (CanCOLD) study.[\[5\]](#fn5)
