**Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG)** is a Canadian law firm with offices in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.

## History

On June 13, 2023, BLG partner Patrick Heinsen sent Dr. [Daniel Nagase](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Daniel-Nagase) a [letter](https://ia902609.us.archive.org/35/items/2023-06-13-letter-to-d-nagase-137388242.2/2023-06-13%20Letter%20to%20D%20Nagase%28137388242.2%29.pdf) on behalf of [Alberta Health Services](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Alberta-Health-Services) (AHS) demanding he remove his Substack articles titled "A deadly day in the ER: My thoughts on a patient’s deadly ER visit" and "The Difference Between Negligence and Homicide: a process in thought".[\[1\]](#fn1) AHS legal counsel Sarah Louw was also copied on the e-mail.[\[2\]](#fn2)
