# Blackwater Security Consulting

**Blackwater Security Consulting (BSC)** was a division of [Blackwater](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Blackwater), an American private security company.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## History

BSC was founded in 2002 by Jamie Smith, a vice president of Blackwater USA, alongside Blackwater founder Erik Prince.[\[2\]](#fn2)[\[3\]](#fn3)

According to the LinkedIn profile of BSC consultant Chris White, the company's "first assignment was to provide 20 men with top-secret clearances to protect the [CIA](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Central-Intelligence-Agency) headquarters and another base that was responsible for hunting Bin Laden."[\[4\]](#fn4)
