**bioMérieux** is a French multinational biotechnology company based in Marcy-l'Étoile, France.

## History

Stéphane Bancel became CEO of bioMérieux in 2007.[\[1\]](#fn1)

### COVID-19

During the declared COVID-19 pandemic, bioMérieux sold a SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR testing product called COVID-19 R-GENE.[\[2\]](#fn2)

In March 2020, bioMérieux announced its participation as a financial supporter of the [COVID-19 Therapeutics Accelerator](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-Therapeutics-Accelerator) (CTA).[\[3\]](#fn3)
