**Applied Value Group** is a multinational business consulting and investment firm based in New York City. It has additional offices in Boston, Massachusetts; Miami, Florida; Stockholm, Sweden; Shanghai, China; and Istanbul, Turkey.[\[1\]](#fn1)

## History

Applied Value Group was founded in 1997 by Bruce Grant and Jan Stenbeck, who had worked together at the Stockholm-based investment firm Kinnevik.[\[2\]](#fn2)
