Kennedy Jr.](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Robert-F-Kennedy-Jr), the [United States Department of Health and Human Services](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/United-States-Department-of-Health-and-Human-Services) (HHS), Marty Makary, the [Food and Drug Administration](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Food-and-Drug-Administration) (FDA), Jay Bhattacharya, the [National Institutes of Health](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/National-Institutes-of-Health) (NIH), Matthew Buzzelli and the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/Centers-for-Disease-Control-and-Prevention) (CDC), over Kennedy's decision to remove [COVID-19 vaccines](https://www.whiteroseintelligence.com/COVID-19-vaccine) from the list of recommended vaccines for healthy children and pregnant women.[\[4\]](#fn4) On July 28, 2025, the AAP published a revised policy statement calling for an end to religious exemptions to vaccine mandates in the United States.[\[5\]](#fn5)[\[6\]](#fn6) On January 13, 2026, a coalition of organizations led by the AAP filed a motion for a preliminary injunction to stop changes to the childhood vaccine schedule announced on January 5 by HHS Secretary Robert F.
