# Alliance for Biosecurity

The **Alliance for Biosecurity** is an American lobbying organization based in Washington, D.C.

## History

The alliance sent a letter dated July 29, 2015 to U.S. Representatives Susan Brooks and Anna Eshoo in support of the *Strengthening Public Health Emergency Response Act of 2015*, which “would support preparedness for potential public health emergencies by increasing accountability and streamlining the contracting process for medical countermeasures (MCMs).”[\[1\]](#fn1)

## Organization

The alliance is a participating member of the Virtual Biosecurity Center, an initiative of the Federation of American Scientists.[\[2\]](#fn2)
