# ACT for NIH

**ACT for NIH** is an American lobbying organization based in Washington, D.C.

It is registered as a 501(c)(4) non-profit advocacy organization, and lobbies the United States Congress to increase funding for biomedical research.[\[1\]](#fn1) It additionally operates a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called the ACT for NIH Foundation.

ACT for NIH was formed in 2017.[\[2\]](#fn2)
