**80,000 Hours** is a British non-profit organization based in Oxford, England.

## History

Effective Animal Activism was founded in 2012 as a branch of 80,000 Hours. In 2013, it changed its name to Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) and became an independent organization.[\[1\]](#fn1)
